The best Star Trek prop board hits 500 members!

The Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum hit 500 members a couple weeks ago. This after only 15 months on the net! The forum is the # 1 spot for collectors of original, screen used and production made props and costumes. If you read this blog and you aren't a member of the forum, you really should be. Why?

1) The biggest Star Trek prop & costume collectors are all members here. Forum members have dominated the It's A Wrap auctions. Most of the best Star Trek collections in the world are represented on the forum. The members don't just talk about props & costumes, we actually collect and treasure the stuff!

2) The best discussions happen on the forum. There are always active discussions about everything from prices to authentication to preservation. Have a question about something you own, or are thinking of buying? Forum members will help! Share your collection, get help with displaying costumes, find out which lighting is best. We discuss it all in a friendly, non-threatening manner.

3) No flame wars or get-a-lifers. Unlike other forums which we all have had to deal with, our forum doesn't have flame wars. We don't have members who feel it is necessary to insult you when they don't like your opinion, or feel that hiding behind a computer allows them to say whatever they want.

Why? Well, first of all, we are mature adults and this is a hobby. We are here to have fun. Second, we get together as a forum every year in Las Vegas at the Creation Star Trek Convention and host the Star Trek Prop & Costume Display that dozens of members take part in.
We all try and meet up as often as we can at Star Trek events and conventions and actively promote the hobby in the real world, not just online. So there is a fellowship you won't find elsewhere. (Two members are even getting married on the Bridge this year).

4) Real props, not replicas. We deal in real, production-made and screen used props and costumes. While we may buy replica comm badges, rank pips or the occasional phaser when we need to finish a costume, you won't find many discussions about replicas on our forum. The Replica Prop Forum, The Trek Prop Zone and ASAP are all good places to talk about replicas.

5) Fraud Prevention and assistance. While other forums will talk about what is real and what is fake, we go out of our way to help collectors resolve their problems as well as not get into bad deals in the first place. We are continually looking out for our members, and then help them resolve issues. While other forums talked about the sale of a fake phaser on eBay a few months ago, our forum helped the buyer get his money back, and then even helped the seller get HIS money back when he found out the he had been taken too. We actively help the collecting community with DEEDS not just words. We also maintain a section of our site with reviews of sellers as well so collectors can find out about the reputation of sellers.

6) Expertise. STPC&A Forum members not only have more original Star Trek props and costumes than any other forum membership, but we have members who do significant research and know about the subject. Even IAW is now using forum member Jorg to help identify props. He has been doing it for forum members since last year. Give him ANY prop and he will not only tell you where it was used, but supply screen caps! Aaron Carlson is one of the top collectors of Maroon Officer's uniforms (and Star Trek V, but we don't bring that up much) and he can help you with questions on that subject. Jordino and Katie are Vulcan specialists. Even Star Trek production crew use the forum to help them with the sale of their own props and items from the show.

So if you aren't a member, you should be! We would love to have you. And thanks to everyone who has made the Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum the best!

Alec

It's a Wrap eBay auctions - Week 79 Results

73rd week of IAW auctions (auctions ending June 22nd)

While this is the 73rd week of auctions, It is titled Week 79 to be consistent with the Star Trek Auctions Archive.

So I am writing this blog entry in a Starbuck's in Issaquah, WA (just outside Seattle). I spent some time with a good buddy here before heading to Vancouver this week. Why am I heading to Vancouver? Well as they say in Battlestar Galactica...All will be revealed! (Well, if you are a member of the Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum, you already know)

I am still looking for other collectors to write blog articles! Come on folks! We need more content!!

The awesome T'Pol Desert Uniform went for a reasonable $ 4,100. My good buddy Dana won this and I think he paid about right. After the early insane prices on T'Pol costumes, due in large part to the now disappeared "maharanidiva" and suspicious shill bidders, these costumes have come down to reasonable levels. This costume was in Vegas for $ 5,000 last summer and Dana had his eye on it. Glad to see patience saved him money!

The 24th Century Klingon Warrior costume at $ 2,335 was a bit incomplete I think, as the square shoulder piece had no edging. But IAW is running out of these and so my buddy Willie from the UK (World's Greatest PADD Collector), got a decent deal on this, though sans boots. When you have one of these costumes on display, it really is the most impressive costume to behold. They are iconic and well made. They dominate any costume near them. Kind of like Klingons I guess!

The Odo costume from "Broken Link" was fascinating and went for a healthy $ 2,025. This costume reprsents when Odo has the disease affecting all Founders, implanted in him by Section 31. OK, I thought that was totally cool when you have been attacked and invaded by shapeshifters from another part of the galaxy. Don't give me any sappy WMD rationalization you liberal peaceniks! This was war, a war the Federation didn't start. You want a piece of us? Come and get it you sentient goo-creatures!

OK, sorry, I am calm now. So I thought the costume was very cool and I almost went for it, but I recently wone Solme Jens costume from teh final episode of DS9, so I thought I was done with DS9. Still, this costume really impressed me.

The Warlord's wife's costume from the Voyager episode "Muse" was really beautiful and went very high for a non-character costume at $ 1,653. A lot of us thought this costume was a beauty and I am not surprised at the price. If you take the time to look at all the photos (and you should) you will see the amazing detail and workmanship that went into this costume.

A Two Piece Command Red Starfleet Uniform went for a strong $ 1,635, showing that there is still a market for these at a high price. With every other background costume going well under $ 900, these continue to hover around $ 1,500. The reason? Well, they are closely
associated with Picard, and everyone fancies themselves a Captain when they where a costume, so these are going to be in demand. Plus, they represent TNG and I think are almost iconic now.

The Surak-Father of Vulcan Logic costume went for a very cheap $ 1,525. I would have loved to have this, but knew forum member Jordino was a huge Vulcan fan. Missing for a few months, Jordino popped his head back up to snatch this awesome piece of Vulcan history at a bargain price. Pieces like this could easily go on the Star Trek Tour or a Star Trek museum.

The ISS Enterprise Terran Enterprise Starfleet Uniform Jumpsuit went for a very fair $ 1,185. With Terran Empire and Empire NX-01 patches, and attached black epaulets, these are really cool variants. I have an Avenger style in my collection and love it.

As far as props go:

The Borg Alcove went for $ 4,049, the week after being listed at a starting bid of $ 4,000 and not selling! Just shows you why you start the bidding out low and let the item find its natural price. Now I think this is worth the price, and if you have the room, very cool to display. They really make a centerpiece to any Star Trek home!

Captain Picard's Ready Room Fossilized Ammonite went for a healthy $ 2,550. Correctly identified by Jorg the identification master, this was a mainstay of Picard's ready room and so not surprising that it went so high.

Eline's Probe Shaped Necklace from "The Inner Light" was a STEAL at $ 870 and went to forum member Philip Gordon. This is the closest thing you folk are ever getting to a damn flute, so I expected this to go at twice this price!!! I really thing this was an awesome buy.

THIS WEEK'S AWARDS:

Best Costume of the Week: Clearly the T'Pol Desert Uniform at $ 4,100 was the class of the week.

Best Prop of the Week: The Borg Alcove at $ 4,049 was just way cool.

Best Buy of the week: Eline's Probe Shaped Necklace from "The Inner Light" was a STEAL at $ 870

Worst Buy of the week: None! Keep up the good work and bid wisely!

Sleeper of the Week: The Surak-Father of Vulcan Logic costume at $ 1,525 was an awesome deal!

HIGHEST PRICED ITEM THAT SOLD

Garak the Tailor

Garak, the Cardassian tailor (well, spy really, tailor is just his cover) from DS9, is one of the most beloved characters from Star Trek and has a huge following in costume collecting. I own one myself and my friends and I discuss these fantastic costumes at length, whenever one comes up for sale. The fabrics and workmanship are amazing. Some of Robert Blackman's best work I think. We have seen several of his costumes, but none lately.

His character had so many layers and so many different facets, that it was hard not to be intrigued by him. Andrew Robinson brought incredible depth to the performance. He also had a great sense of humor. You never could have found a regular character who had such questionable ethics and shades of gray in any other Star Trek show. DS9 allowed such a character to not only exist, but flourish.

A couple of my favorite Garak quotes:

After Garak gets beat up:
Dr. Bashir: They broke seven of your transverse ribs and fractured your clavicle.

Garak: Ah, but I got off several cutting remarks which no doubt caused serious damage to their egos. Thanks to your administrations, I am almost completely healed, but the damage I did to them will last a lifetime.

Dr. Bashir: What I want to know is, out of all the stories you told me which ones were true and which ones weren't?

Garak: My dear doctor...they're all true.

Bashir: Even the lies?

Garak: Especially the lies.

And of course, Andrew Robinson loved the character so much, he wrote a book about it! The Garak novel "A Stitch in Time" is actually out of print and runs about $ 20 these days. I am trying to get a copy myself and am looking forward to a good read. It is Garak's memoirs, and you have to love the passion that Robinson has for the character that he actually wrote a book about him!

A Star Trek Wedding!

Well, Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum members Katie Harrison and Steven Prewitt are getting married. And of course, like two true Star Trek fans, they are getting married on the bridge of the Enterprise at Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas during the Creation Con there this August! Of course her invitation is on Starfleet letterhead and all attendees must be dressed in costume!

The Forum will be well represented as the convention is the site of our annual get-together and the biggest Star Trek prop event of the year. We have a double booth where we display our props and costumes and share them with the public, and we all hang out and have fun. If you are going to the convention, look for Katie and Steve and come to our booth and sign their guest book and wish them the best!

Congratulations to Katie and Steve!!!

It's a Wrap eBay auctions - Week 78 Results

72nd week of IAW auctions (auctions ending June 15th)

While this is the 72nd week of auctions, It is titled Week 78 to be consistent with the Star Trek Auctions Archive.

I am on the road driving across the country, so forgive my lateness this time. it has been a CRAZY week. More details to follow!

I am still looking for other collectors to write blog articles!

The Chief O'Brien First Contact Style uniform went to my buddy Jim Williams for $ 2,828. That is a bit on the high side I think, but certainly within range. Previous versions have gone for $ 2,000, $ 2,500 and $ 2,600. These are good in that they have the unique rank insignia sewn into the undershirt's collar.

The First/Second Season Operations Gold Starfleet Jumpsuit was assumed to belong to Worf since the tag inside said "Michael" and it looks exactly like Dorn's other costumes size-wise. It went for a very reasonable $ 2,601. I think this was a very good deal. It is a beautiful costume and certainly Dorn's. And it has rank pips, though it doesn't seem Dorn was ever a full Lt. in this uniform. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

The Dr. David Marcus costume at $ 2,276 was pretty cool as it had shoes and his sweater. OK, I HATED the sweater in the movie, but you can drape it over your mannequin;s shoulder and have a cool display. This is a historically important costume and I think it went at a very reasonable price for a complete costume.

At $ 1,313, Chief O'Brien's Battle of Britain Costume went to a good home, as Dwayne, the winner (and a member of the Star Trek Prop Forum) won the Bashir version of this costume a couple of months ago! I hope you display them both with a pint of synthale in their hands Dwayne!

Forum member Chris won the TNG Operations Gold Skant at $ 910. These are cool uniforms with historical significance, A STUPID idea, but cool from a historical perspective. If I win one before Vegas, Giles and I said we would wear ours at the Con. Chris, no excuses for you not joining us!

As far as props go:

The Voyager Systems Status LCARS Display was the top item of the week and WAY overpriced. Sorry, this gets worse buy of the week. At $ 5,206 it was just too much for a LCARS. It wasn't even THE Master Systems Display, which I could at least understand. A cool piece, but not THAT cool!

The Nemesis Style Phaser Rifle went at a healthy $ 2,662. That is about right. I have almost an identical one as this and they are beautiful props. I don't like them as much as the First Contact style because of the scope, but they have cool detailing with chrome appliqués and such. Plus, it is a Phaser Rifle. Technically a Type 3c Phaser Rifle.

Seven of Nine's Systems Diagnolstic Device went for a reasonable $ 1,310. It lights up, which is cool, and attributable to a specific episode, so interesting for a Voyager and 7of 9 fan.

I really loved the Nemesis Scimitar Observation Lounge Set Model. At $ 799 it was a great buy as well. These are awesome pieces of Star Trek production history. I have the Romulan Senate Model and love it. What you get is a piece that allows you to see HOW sets are designed and built. They give you a behind the scenes look at the movies or shows that you don't often see. Check out the Nemesis DVD special features under "The ROmulan Senate" for details of how they use these models.

The Enterprise Half a Missle was a steal at $ 788. Man, I wish I had bid on this! What a great piece for your home theater!

The Andorian Hand Scanner at $ 710 was a great deal as well. It lights up and was used several times by different races. A very good deal and an interesting prop.

THIS WEEK'S AWARDS:

Best Costume of the Week: The First/Second Season Operations Gold Starfleet Jumpsuit at $ 2,601. This is an awesome costume and we aren't seeing a lot of them!

Best Prop of the Week: The Nemesis Style Phaser Rifle at $ 2,662 was a great prop in a bad week for props. I almost gave this to the Scimitar Observation Lounge Model, but that isn't really a prop, rather a production model and I don't have a category for that! Besides, it wins.....

Best Buy of the week: The Nemesis Scimitar Observation Lounge Set Model. A STEAL at $ 799. These are incredible pieces of Star Trek history, and this was obviously overlooked.

Worst Buy of the week: Star Trek: Voyager Systems Status LCARS Display at $ 5,206.

Sleeper of the Week: The Enterprise Half a Missle at $ 788. WOW! What a deal!

HIGHEST PRICED ITEM THAT SOLD

Star Trek: Voyager Systems Status LCARS Display at $ 5,206.

Star Trek: DS9 Chief O'Brien First Contact Style uniform at $ 2,828.

Star Trek: TNG First/Second Season Operations Gold Starfleet Jumpsuit at $ 2,601.

Star Trek: Nemesis Style Phaser Rifle went at a healthy $ 2,662.

Star Trek II: TWOK Dr. David Marcus costume at $ 2,276

FedConUSA - The Disaster in Dallas - Part II

Here is an update from Katie Harrison, one of the Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum's star members who made the trek from Houston to Dallas, a 4 1/2 hour drive.

FEDCON FIASCO

The morning began early, at 3:30 a.m. for us avid sci-fi con adventurers! It was truly an exciting morning, not only was I excited that I was going to my first non-trek convention, but I was going to meet members from the Star Trek Forum, run by Alec Peters! I was worried we would be late and miss Garret Wang, who was scheduled to appear at 9:15 a.m. We got to the hotel and there was a 30 minute-long line to get tickets. We conspicuously noticed there were not a lot of people roaming around, but it was early. As we stood in line with some fans from Arkansas we heard that the schedule had been changed and that Anthony Montgomery and other Battle Star Galatica actors were not coming.

We ventured to the ‘Ferengi Market’ aka the Dealers room to browse around. This too was a bit sparse as there were only about 12-15 dealers in total. We realized that John Billingsly and Bonita Friedency were suppose to be on stage, so we headed to the ‘Main Bridge,’ to find John on stage and the crowd asking questions. He was absolutely fabulous! And Bonita was super great as she bounced around the room giving the microphone to inquisitive fans! It seemed like it was going to be great and very personal. I was hearing stories all around about how the stars partied the night before in the hotel lobby with the fans! Then it all came to a screeching halt when the master of ceremonies, Richard Anderson announced the Con was cancelled! The fans were shocked, amazed and terribly disappointed. All of a sudden the crowd was flooding Anderson with questions about refunds and demanding to know why, what happened and how could this be? Then John Billingsly grabbed the microphone and stood in the audience and demanded that the hosts give the fans the answers they wanted and said “let’s get someone in here that knows the answers about these things.’ Other Star Trek actors, Garret Wang, Connor Trinnear, J.G. Hertzler, Robert O’Reilly and Menina Fortunato all retired to the autograph room and signed autographs and took pictures with the fans!! Robert O’Reilly and J.G. Hertzler were both mid-way through their Klingon make-up when they got the announcement of the cancelation and they went on with the show and came down and took pics with the fans and even sang some Klingon Songs of Glory!!!

So, in essence, the actors saved the day!! Had it not been for them, the Con would have been more of a disaster than it was! For me, the best part was getting to meet some of the wonderful people on the forum!! While this convention was suppose to be an equivalent of the FedCon in Germany, it was to say the least a pitiful attempt and whether FedCon was not a part of it or not, shame on them for lending out the trusted name, for in the U.S. the name is now MUD!!

FedConUSA - The Disaster in Dallas

Well, I decided to stop in Dallas for FedCon as I drove from Atlanta to the West Coast. It was a bit out of the way, but FedCon was to have Aaron Douglas and James Callas, Chief Tyrol and Baltar from Battlestar Galactica, and Aaron Douglas said he would bring a DVD of the mid-season finale, "Revelations" for everyone to watch together on a big screen in one of the conference rooms. Well, that sounded like fun, and my buddies Dana lives in Dallas, and Kenny Friedman, a prop and autograph dealer, were both going to be there.

But as I drove into Dallas this AM, I started to find out that there were problems with the Con. The Con organizers had failed to fly in Richard Hatch (Tom Zarek on BSG) for the show and weren't returning his calls. Richard had been a scheduled guest for months. When I got to the show I ran into Anne Lockhart (Sheba on the original BSG) and we started chatting as I had her at a show in 1999. She started telling me how disorganized the show was too. Then I spoke to Richard and found out that not only was he not coming, but Aaron and James were not either.

Dana and I jumped online and went to the FedConUSA web site and found that Aaron Douglas had actually posted about how they had been stiffed by the con organizers and how disappointed he was. It seems the con organizer has been avoiding any phone calls and has taken to ignoring these stars, rather than dealing with the situation.

Well, it is obvious the con organizer, Tim Brazeal, ran out of money, and then, rather than being a stand up guy and admit the problems, has chosen to avoid dealing with them in an honest manner, screwing fans and stars alike. We have been hearing the excuse that he has been in and out of the hospital, but honestly, are we to believe this?

A real shame. None the less, we are trying to make the best of our time here.

It's a Wrap eBay auctions - Week 77 Results

71st week of IAW auctions (auctions ending June 8th)

While this is the 70th week of auctions, It is titled Week 77 to be consistent with the Star Trek Auctions Archive.

I am still looking for other collectors to write blog articles!

The Legate Damar Cardassian Costume went for $ 3,001. It was a re-list of a costume that went for $ 3,550 in Week 38. Pretty reasonable I think. It was originally returned because there was some deterioration on the rubber chest piece. It looks fine in the photograph though, and Colin felt the deterioration was minimal. Either way, we shall see if Forum member Philip Gordon is happy with it!

The
Romulan Senator Robes went for an astronomical $ 1,726.
These things seem to be getting more popular as new bidders come into the auction. I love the blue ones, but not at this price! I paid $ 500 for mine! Still, they are very cool.

The Command Red Starfleet Uniform at $ 1,281 was one I think I saw in the IAW store when they had their sale a couple of months ago. I say that because I remember trying it on and the arms are REALLY short. You can see this in the photo.

The Tom Paris Uniform and Costume Lot at $ 1,225 was a great deal. A complete Tom Paris, and an Operations Gold variant to boot, for v
this price is a steal.

A Season1/2 Starfleet Uniform in Sciences Blue went for $ 1,009 which was reasonable. I think this style will become more and more valuable.

A Command Red Voyager Jumpsuit went for a quite reasonable $ 909. While an Operations Gold version went cheap at $ 490.

An Enterprise Command Gold Starfleet Uniform from the final episode of Enterprise "These Are the Voyages" went for a very cool $ 900.

I loved the Lonzak - Evil Hencman costume from Voyager's Captain Proton holo-adventure. My buddy Dana won this at $ 849 which was a great deal.

I won the Female Founder Costume at $ 813, which was a great deal since this was the costume Salome Jens wore as the female shape shifter in the final episode of DS9.

As far as props go:

The Klingon Court Translation Device went for a strong, but reasonable $ 1,924. A beautiful and memorable prop.

The Voyager LCARS Style Console Interface at $ 1,725 was a bit overpriced if you ask me. We have seen plenty of these and I think these are worth about $ 1,200.

The Enterprise NX-01 Button Panel Lot at $ 1,276 was a pretty fair deal. Break this up and you get a good price on lots of cool components.

An Enterprise era Starfleet Energy Carbine went for a very fair $ 820. I just bought one of these direct from IAW at almost this exact price. These are cool and the first Starfleet Rifle!

Finally, an Enterprise Orion PADD from "Borderland" went for $ 635.

THIS WEEK'S AWARDS:

Best Costume of the Week: The Legate Damar Cardassian Costume at $ 3,001 was clearly the best costume in a poor week of costumes.

Best Prop of the Week: The Klingon Court Translation Device at $ 1,924 was cool!

Best Buy of the week: The Varon-T Disruptor at $ 375 was a steal!

Worst Buy of the week: None this week!

Sleeper of the Week: The DS9 PADD stylus was a great buy for a prop that you saw a lot but didn't pay attention to!

HIGHEST PRICED ITEM THAT SOLD

Star Trek: DS9 Legate Damar Cardassian Costume at $ 3,001

Star Trek: ST VI Klingon Court Translation Device at $ 1,924.

Star Trek: Nemesis Romulan Senator Robes at $ 1,726.

Star Trek: Voyager LCARS Style Console Interface at $ 1,725

Star Trek: Nemesis Command Red Starfleet Uniform at $ 1,281

It's a Wrap eBay auctions - Week 76 Results

70th week of IAW auctions (auctions ending May 31st)

While this is the 70th week of auctions, It is titled Week 76 to be consistent with the Star Trek Auctions Archive.

I am still looking for other collectors to write blog articles!

The 24th Century Female Klingon Costume went for a very strong $ 4,055. My friend Donna won the top two costumes this week (something about winning the lottery I think). This was pretty high for a Klingon costume, but is the last female version according to IAW. All Donna needs is boots now!

The T'Pau Minister's Robes that went for $ 2,600. I backed off of these for Donna and I think she did well, at this price. I know she would have gone higher and I don't blame her. These are certainly the nicest Vulcan robes we have seen, and T'Pau is an important character in the Star Trek universe. I am jealous!

The DS9 Gowron Klingon Baldric at $ 2,114 was a big surprise. A lot of people were talking about this before the the auctions ended. These have been used ever since TMP. Still, this is a lot for a costume element, but certainly an important one.

The Enterprise Trip Ticker Starfleet Uniform went for a reasonable $ 1,944. For such a loved character, I think this was a good deal. It had the rank pins as well. I would pay this price any day for a Tripp.

Romulan Senator's Robes continue to sell strong. This set went for $ 1,237. I hate this color, but they are awesome none the less. This week there are 4 sets, so we should see the price come down.

The Vorta Costume had an incorrect "Iggy Pop" costume Tag attached. This was NOT the costume Iggy Pop wore in "the Maginficent Ferengi". It was worn by the Founder who sat at the treaty signing table in the last episode of DS9. At $ 1,225, still a fair price.

The Enterprise Female Commodore Costume went for a very reasonable $ 1,030. WOW! What a good deal for a Flag Officer costume. Plus it has a Universal Translator.

As far as props go:

The Enterprise E Desk Chair went for a very high $ 2,550 to a zero feedback bidder. Can't tell if he is real or not, but the guy is a NASCAR fan! I love this chair, but I am not spending over $ 1,000 on one! Way too high in my book.

The Voyager Temporal Disruptor from "Relativity" was a surprise at $ 1,925. A lot of us were interested in this one. It was from a great episode and was very distinct. A cool prop that lights up is always in demand!

The Starfleet Command Building Model was something different and went for a healthy $ 1,875. We all like models I think, however, as Jorg points out "Buildings of a similar, yet different design, were seen on Earth in "Paradise lost" and on Risa in "Let he who is without sin...". This building matches a building seen on the Mari homeworld in "Random thoughts" most closely however."

The Space Ship Model went for $ 1,362. Where has this been seen? No one on the Forum seemed to know. So I think this was way too high for a random, possibly never used, model.

The Raven Borg Data Module at $ 1,125 seemed high for such a prop. It wasn't very big, nor was it very interesting. But someone liked it!

I liked the Phase II or TMP Concept Art Lot. The art itself was not that interesting, but the items represent the development of the next version of Star Trek. It went for $967.

THIS WEEK'S AWARDS:

Best Costume of the Week: The T'Pau Minister's Robes at $ 2,600.

Best Prop of the Week: The Voyager Temporal Disruptor from "Relativity" at $ 1,925

Best Buy of the week: The Klingon Mek'Leth at $ 565 was a steal!

Worst Buy of the week: None this week!

Sleeper of the Week: The Outcome of the Continuum vs Q scroll was a great deal at $ 565. (Good job Katie!)

HIGHEST PRICED ITEM THAT SOLD

Star Trek: 24th Century Female Klingon Costume at $ 4,055.

Star Trek: Enterprise T'Pau Minister's Robes at $ 2,600.

Star Trek: Nemesis Enterprise E Desk Chair at $ 2,550

Star Trek: DS9 Gowron Klingon Baldric at $ 2,114

Star Trek: Enterprise Trip Ticker Starfleet Uniform at $ 1,944

It's a Wrap eBay auctions - Week 75 Results

69th week of IAW auctions (auctions ending May 24th)

While this is the 69th week of auctions, It is titled Week 75 to be consistent with the Star Trek Auctions Archive.

I am still a week behind, so I will have Week 76 up tomorrow. Sorry, but there is some big news that I will tell you all about soon that is consuming my time.

Writing these blogs, I have always focused on items over $ 1,000 (except for the Best Buy and Sleeper Awards). The past few weeks, there have been very few items over $ 1,000. It shows that the auctions are slowing down.

The Maroon Female Captain's Uniform went for $ 3,617. There aren't many of these left from what i hear, so this was bound to go at a good price. I still need one of these, but am holding out for a male. These are still the cream of the costume crop!

The B'Ellana Torres Starfleet Uniform at $ 1,325 was a steal! It included the Maquis rank and was almost the Best Buy of the week. It is rare that major character costumes go so cheap, so the buyer got a good deal.

Romulan Senator Robes continue to be strong as this set went for $ 1,301. The robes have been a hot seller lately, after going in the $ 500-600 range last year. They are beautiful, as I have a set and love them. The material and workmanship are quite amazing.

A Feature Film Crewman Uniform Belt went for an insane $ 1,025! Obviously someone needed this bad and so was willing to pay way above market price. When that is the case, market price is irrelevant.

As far as props go:

The Vulcan Lirpa went for a very strong $ 1,525. These are great props since they are pretty iconic, having been used by Kirk and Spock in their great fight scene in the TOS episode "Amok Time". I won one of these and think it is a great piece for any Star Trek fan.

The Space Background Paintings lot went for $ 1,575. They don't do it for me, but someone liked them!

The Romulan Mine/Xindi Weapon prop went for a healthy $ 1,293. Another one sold in Week 38 for $790. Will from the Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum said:

"There were two of them. One with Blue lights and one with Green lights. I won the Blue light version a while back which is the one that Archer has to deactivate at the very end. This one that was just sold was the green version which is the first one that Archer deactivates (and has the most screen time). "

It is a cool prop and since it served as two props, it got plenty of screen time. A good price I think.

A huge Voyager Sickbay Monitor Console went for $ 1,251 to Martin from Berlin, who will have to pay some serious shipping on this! Still, a good deal.

The Voyager LCARS Readout Panel went for a reasonable $ 1,125. It was big and had cool engineering graphics.

The Voyager Richard James Fabric Consistency Sample Book for $ 960 was really interesting. We don't see many items like this that really tell the behind the scenes story of Star Trek.

The Borg Arm at $ 825 was a pretty good deal. Everyone loves te eBorg, so this prop will get a lot of attention in someone's collection. And at a very good price.

The Star Trek VI Klingon Head Mask at $ 830 was reasonably priced. I have one of these and they look great on display. Anywhere in this neighborhood is a good deal. They are pretty sturdy too.

There was a beautiful LCARS Style Control Board at $ 666. What a great deal for a really nice piece! There are plenty of these, but when you can get a beautiful one at a great price, they are really worth looking at.

Finally, Dr. Phlox's Sickbay Microscope went for a cheap $ 635. I don't find it interesting, seems a bit too modern, but cool none the less, and at a great price.
