Teaser 1:
There’s a dark in my chest, like the devil hidden inside me is about to make a grand appearance. I raise my hands and sway my hips, letting my hair fall down my shoulders and back. I breathe freely, just like I use to every single day before I ran away. The more the music sings, the more relaxed I become. My head falls from side to side and my drift shut.I feel someone move up behind me and they smell of desire mingled with an earthy scent and something else—something mouthwatering. Micha.
He places his hands on my hips, his hands domineering. He nearly melts me as he spreads his fingers around my waist and presses his body against mine, wanting as much of me as he can get. “I thought you didn’t dance anymore,” his whispers in a feral voice, his warm breath touching every part of me.
A voice in my head screams at me to run; that he’s too close and he’ll see past the façade and into the very heart of me. But the alcohol buzzing in my system shuts the voice up and I keep dancing, leaning back into him, and breathing in his familiar scent. “I guess I’m a liar.”
“You didn’t use to be.” He sweeps my hair to my side and implores our bodies closer as he moves with me. Through the fabric of our clothes, I feel the heat radiating off him like the sun. “In fact, you use to be the most honest person I knew.”
I slant my head back against his chest. “People change Micha. Sometimes without being able to help it” “That’s not what this is about.” His hands slide down my hips and don’t stop until the reach the hem of my dress. “And you know it.”
My eyes snap open and I start to pull away. But he intensifies his embrace and pins me against him so we’re bonded in every way possible. I feel the hardness of his chest and the heat emitting off every single God damn part of him. It makes me want to moan.
“I want you, pretty girl” he whispers, through a groan, as his fingers slide underneath the side of my dress and up my thighs. “Badly.”
Teaser 2:
I stop just short of the fence. As long as we stay on opposite sides, then it will be okay. “Ethan told me while you were gone.”He shakes his head, annoyed. “He has such a mouth on him. He’s worse than a girl.”
“Hey,” I say, feigning offended. “Now all girls are bad. I’ve always been an excellent secret keeper. You know that.”
He places his hands on the fence, gripping the metal tightly. “I don’t know that anymore. In fact, I’m starting to think I’ve never known you at all.” He gestures his hand at my clothes. “Maybe this was who you always were. Maybe this place was just getting in the way.”
I’m upset, but I don’t know why. He’s just saying what he thinks. “I don’t think I even know who I am anymore. But either way, you could have told me what was going on with your dad.”
“Could I?” His legs push against the fence. “Because I’m not sure you can handle that, pretty girl. You can barely handle your own problems.”
I narrow the small gap between myself and the fence. “Try me.”
His aqua eyes search mine. “It was almost as painful as that day you ran off. I mean, he has a whole other family….” His voice cracks at the end and he bites down on his lip, nibbling anxiously at his lip ring. “Like we weren’t good enough or something.”
The ache in his expression pulls me into his world for a moment and I start to panic, wanting to make him feel better. Not knowing what else to do, I lean over the fence and lightly graze my lips against his. Heat caresses my mouth and I pull back.
“No *** way,” Micha growls with so much desire in his eyes my knees buckle. “I’m not letting you run away this time.” His hand slides around the back of my neck, much gentler then the intensity in his voice. He guides my body against his and tempts me with a soft brush of his lips. And I can’t help myself—I fall into him.
My mouth opens willingly, lost in the mind-numbing moment. He slips his tongue deep inside my mouth, devouring me thoroughly. My hands trace up the front of his bare chest, and I hook my arms around his neck. We crush the fence between our bodies and we try to bury ourselves into one another.

Short Teasers:
“I said I was fine, Micha.” Her voice is tight as she forces back the tears. The girl never lets herself cry, even when her mom died.“No you’re not,” I say, steering her by the shoulders toward me. “And you need to let it out.”
She shakes her head, staring at the floor. “I can’t.”
I tuck my finger under her chin and raise her head up. “Yes, you do. It’s killing you inside.”
Her shoulders quiver as she leans into me. Her head rest against my chest and she lets me rub her back. It’s not much, but it’s enough.

I sweep Ella’s hair to the side and put my lips to her ear. “So you think I’m hot and sexy, huh?”
She bites back a smile, pretending to be deeply engulfed with the banjo band. “No, I said your music is hot and sexy.”
“It all the same.” I dare a kiss against her shoulder, savoring the softness of her skin, wanting her so damn bad...

“I’m sorry.” I hug him closer, and say my final good-bye. “I didn’t want to think anymore. It was just too much and mind wouldn’t slow down. But it’s alright now. I can think clearly again.”
He cups my cheek, his thumb searing hot as he traces the pad lightly across my cheekbone. “Next time come to me—don’t just run. Please. I know things are hard right now, but it’ll get better. We’ve always made it through every single bad thing thrown at us.”
Beads of water trickle in his eyelashes, along his cheeks, over his full lips. There’s a shift in the air, one I’ve felt coming for a long time.
His lips part. “Ella, I love—”
I crush my lips against his, hushing him and melting us together. I allow his tongue to caress mine, letting him suck the rain from my bottom lip, savoring the taste of me. Our bodies arc together, like we can’t get enough. Heat flows through our drenched clothes, warming my skin. I could let it go on forever, but that would be wrong.
