Fashion and Film: Phantom of the Opera

Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite films ever. I even listened to the sound track on repeat all the way from Kentucky to the Grand Canyon and back. Plus, being a former theater nerd myself, I love shows about shows.

There are gobs of gorgeous period costume costumes like these from Hannibal.

This fabulous pink number with the crazy wig is from Il Muto.

The gorgeous "Think of Me" dress from Hannibal.

Oh, and the back is divine!

And this lovely corseted number from Don Juan Triumphant.

The masquerade also has some gorgeous (and creative!) costumes. Everyone is in black, white, silver and gold except Christine.

Isn't this dress just dreamy?

A rooster, a ram and a poodle!

Yumminess!

The Phantom is just dashing too!

And let's not leave out the "everyday" clothes! This prima donna does not disappoint in a head to toe pink look. I love the pink fur! Her whole look is so bold with her hair!

Do you have a favorite period musical?
